I was only able to get one bowl roughed out today. (out of the 'wood gloat') I took a picture of it before I put in the DNA bucket. I'm excited about this stuff.
I'm not sure about height but it is 8" round.

Yea, that is really nice material, John. You're going to enjoy turning it!

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
looks a little thick to go in dna. but i love the wood
14x48 custom 2hp 9gear lathe
9 inch pre 1940 craftsman lathe
36 inch 1914 Sydney bandsaw (BEAST)
Wood in every shelf and nook and cranny,,, seriously too much wood!
John,
Beautiful wood that's going to be a looker, btw that's how thick I would of turned it to stick it in the dna.
Bob
very nice...post it when you have it done...like the wood markings....
How long does it go into the dna and then how long before you finish turning the bowl?
Really nice wood, btw.
Thanks
Jon, by George now that is the start of someting great. I am going to cross my fingers for this one.
