    Storing an Airless Sprayer?

Guys I purchase an airless sprayer awhile back for my occasional use.I have sprayed latex paint and oil base paint on cabinets, trim, etc.I do not use it all the time, sometimes once a month, then maybe in 6 months. My routeen would be to wash it out with water for the latex and shoot mineral spirits through it for the oil.I would always store it with clean mineral spirits in the pump and hose. While I have not had any problems with it so far,is this the norm for other airless owners? How do you store your airless for short or longtirm periods and do you leave fluid in the pump? Thanks Carroll

I have been using this procedure for years with complete success, however I usually add a couple of ounces of motor oil to the mineral spirits.

Personally as a professional I always talk to the tech for such info and ask for hard copy to put in my files and make sure it's on the unit for others in the shop to check. Typically it's in the operator manual.
