Thread: Poker chip case

  1. Poker chip case

This is a poker chip case I finished a little while ago. It is walnut, mahogany and has a maple chip tray inside. Engraving was done by CNC. I have another one in the works now using Bubinga.

    Very nice...
How did you shape the chip tray?

  7. the chip trays are done by using a corebox bit. I cut stock wide enough for 2 rows, set the fence on the router table and make a pass, flip, repeat until I get the right depth. Glue and clamp them together after. Here are the chip trays for the case I doing now out of Bubinga. plain tray will be permanent and the top one will lift out.

    Very nice work Eric.

Are you making these professionally, or just for acquaintances?

But that image host... Holy Pop-Ups Batman!

  9. Originally I wanted to make a nice case for myself, than a customer who was buying a poker table (I build custom poker tables) wanted the case. I decided to sell it and build another with more space and the same thing happened. I decided to add them to our items for sale but have only done a few. I've found some great wood combos since I've joined to build another, hopefully to keep.
