    another segmented vase

    This on measures 7 1/2 x 12 1/2. Shellawax finish on the vase and sealcoat ond wax on the ne. Didn't come out quite like I planned but...
    Oak and walnut. The ne is ambrosia maple.

    865 miles southeast of Steve Schlumpf.

    I like

    I like the concecept..And the walnut bottom compliments the NE very well along with the walnut accents drawing your eye up.Very nice!!

    Interesting flow to the piece Mike! I like the way everything seems to move up and to the right. The top/lip area being a NE is different - don't think I have ever seen that before. Nice effect! Can't help but notice how tight all the joints are! Nice work - as always!

    I'm sorry to say that I would like the segmented vase better without the crown. The pairing of the concave and convex curves is not pleasing to my eye.

    However, I can definitley appreciate the craftsmanship of the tight joints and keeping all that bark on there.
