    my gosh that got so much more beautiful. It seems to make the curl pop out more.

    What a difference a couple of years makes!! Beautiful color, and I assume since you still have access to the bowl, you still have the girl, too!!

    Nate - it was a beautiful bowl to start with - now that it has aged a little - it is absolutely stunning!! Thanks for the update!

    Well....no, but it was amicable for both of us.

    Thanks for all the compliments, folks! It is amazing to me how much different a piece of wood may look after a couple years! I had a feeling when I turned it that it would end up blood red with some time. The shavings came off a deep orange-red. I have several more bowls that were turned from this wood, and never finished, that I'll finish over time. I like to keep a variety of different wood species in the gallery flow. Thanks again folks!
