Need some info

I am looking for the name of a Japanese tree. Easy enough? Well, it grows FAST, FAST..
It has big leaves and is one of the hardest woods grown on a tree.
If anyone could please tell me the name of the tree, I would be a very happy person...

Japanese, big leaves, very fast growing = Paulownia. But, it is one of the softest woods, not one of the hardest.

Not an expert, but, usually FAST growing means Soft wood.
