Buying Finish online?

Is there a place or two someone can recommend to purchase liquid finishing products online? Such as brushing lacquer and lacquer sealer?

I'll second the www.homesteadfinishing.com recommendation. It's Jeff Jewitt's site.

I would however, recommend hou steer clear of lacquer based sanding sealer. That's a product whose only good uses are commercial expedients, where is can speed the finishing process, at the expense of the durability of the finish. It doesn't seal better than just plain lacquer, and doesn't aid adhesion to either the wood, or to the next coat.

(There are some exceptions related to higher tech commercial finishes which specifically require a specific sealer (often vinyl) to increase water resistance. That's not a benefit of ordinary sanding sealer, which sands easily because it contains stearates (a chemical soap). But those make it soft and less durable.
