Here is a poker table I made for my local church for their summer festival. It was put out for a bid and buy. The pedestal base is mahagony that I finsished with blo and then shellac. The table is a basic poker table with suited speed cloth and whisper vinyl rail.

Very nice. The woodwork looks top notch, as well as the upholstery. That big chunk of mahogany ought to keep it well grounded. I like the design on the cloth top. Looks more "upscale" than plain green, without becoming too busy. Where did you get your poker table supplies? (cloth, vinyl, rail padding, etc.)

I get the poker table supplies from Yourautotrim dot com. I use the neoprene for the playing surface. the 2eo volaria dents easily and it takes a long time to get rid of the dent. FOr the rail foam use the 60lb foam. and for the vinyl use the whisper vinyl as it stretches the easies. also if you buy there use the code scottkeen and you get I believe a 15% discount.

thanks, no that is the basement I finished last year. my shop is too small to put everything so things kinda of overflow to the finished part of the basement. the wife is not so pleased about that.

Actually a great place to buy this stuff, that speed cloth is so nice when dealing cards, they float right across the top.

Thanks for the tip on where to get the supplies Mike. My father-in-law is a poker fanatic and I think I might need to make a poker table for him. He wouldn't have room for a freestanding table at his house, so I've been thinking that the best option would be just to upholster a small folding table. Now I know where to get the materials to do that. Thanks again!

Very nicely done, Mike! I'm finishing up a poker table now myself. May take some pointers from you on material and supply source.

BTW, just wondering, what did it end up going for at the festival?

It was very disappointing. They originally listed it for 200 dollars which was the cost of the materials. At the very last minute of the festival someone offered 150 dollars. SO that is what they took. As I said very disappointing.

I think you will find around here that no one will pay for a quality table when they can go to ASAP or Watson's and pick up the 149.99 special and think they are getting a quality table. It's really a shame. It looks like a very nice table.

Nice job on the table Mike. The Catholic churches in Atlanta usually have a Casino Night every year as I have been asked to deal a few casino games on occasion. Now if you showed up at a Southern Baptist church with a poker talbe for sale... no matter how many guys really liked it you would not get an offer period. Well.. not until after the wife went home and it was made in a private conversation.

I am not impressed that the highest bid was $150 for a charity especially. That small bid speaks volumes about how things have changed in our personal values.
