    Clocks made of wood

Looking for clock ideas. Kinda thinking a mantel clock but open to any ideas. I have built many clocks from wall to Grandfather. Need something to inspire me.

I'd like to make something like this:

Deflation: When I was a kid, an E-ticket meant I was about to go on the ride of my life. Today, an E-ticket means a miserable ride.

My wife was flipping through one of my Klokit catelogs, and saw this one. She informed me that this would be the next piece I'd be working on. It won't be quite as big as this, but almost.

Love the face on that A&C Roycroft clock (actually like the Nelso knock-off above too). Are you going to tool your own leather for the face? Looks like Darden lettering/numbering.

Here is a mantel clock I made from spalted crotch maple. Copper face was ordered from Schlabaugh & Sons.

The maker describes it as "a wrought copper dial with patinated silver numerals and nickle hands"..(sic)

I'll likely use copper as well, but have the numerals engraved into the base metal.

I've always been inspired to build a clock similar to these:

I like Arts and Craft also. Did you find a plan or going off a photo?

I've made two of these. They are made from red oak and stained. The works are from Klockit.

I was just going to use the photo as a starting point and develop my own plan.

Made this one last year using mahogany and a movement from Klockit. I used this Klockit kit as a model.
