    Bit the mustard bullet...

The imminent price increase fear got the better of me. I was going to wait another year or so but...

Less than 20 seconds ago I ordered my 3520B from toolnut.

Still trying to catch my breath -- it was pretty sudden. I've been looking at it for a few months, but in the same way I look at those private jet timeshare things; i.e. "must be nice."

I'm upgrading from the $375 grizzly, so this ought to be quite a treat. Now it's time to put in some OT and run a new 220 line!

Hehehe congrats! You must have been the one I got put on hold for... I have joined you in the massive upgrade club and went from a HF $169 lathe to a mustard just now. Same fear caught me. So far no buyers remorse at all. How about that?!!?

    Seriously congrats and enjoy!

Congrats on the new lathe. You are going to have fun with that machine.

Ditto on the last minute decision

I placed my order yesterday to Osolnik for a 3520B. I had planned to wait another three months or so. I have the new electric in, but have not finished the sheetrocking from my garage expansion. These last two days must have seen a ton of orders for the 3520B's and other tools scheduled for price increases.

Busy Couple of Days at Toolnut & Osolnick

I did it today also. Have been thinking about it for a few months and thought maybe this fall or winter. But the $700 increase on Monday made up my mind for me. I'm sure I won't be sorry. Toolnuts price was a bit better but I'm in NY and the tax put it over Osolnicks price so went with Joe with Sean's blessings. Both real nice guys.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem
