? RWB Corian for Turn-A-Thon

Have any of you that have prepared blanks for a Turn-A-Thon glued up RWB corian as bands?

I have made some center rings to be used as a loose ring, but question whether any other method could be used, considering the differences in experience of the turners.

Made some pens with the corian at the top and where it got thin sometimes the corian tore away. Put a piece of pick guard on to fill the void. Probably ok as a center band when it doesn't get too thin.
