    Corel Issues

This just started the other day and I'm not sure what is causing it.

I opened a previously done file consisting of vector and raster graphics.
the vector looks fine but the bit map looks like say a 1 bit bitmap, and it engraves that way also.

I have Corel (11) on a couple computers and via thumbdrive brought over a back up file, same thing.

This does engrave as say the 1 bit image and not like an 8 bit, so I don't see it being a lower res preview to save file size.

Is there a setting for the computer or the software I might have accidently hit to low res files when they open in Corel?

    Thanks,

    Marty

I would check the settings on your laser driver. The mode setting in particular as it sounds as if that might have been changed.

In 'options' there is a area where you can choose the res. that you want to work with. I'm pretty sure it defaults to 300 but something may have kicked it down a notch or two!
Epilog 24TT(somewhere between 35-45 watts), CorelX4, Photograv(the old one, it works!), HotStamping, Pantograph, Vulcanizer, PolymerPlatemaker, Sandblasting Cabinet, and a 30 year collection of Assorted 'Junque'

    Thanks,
I tried a few things and finally re-installed the software still didn't work,
Finally succumbed and got an IT guy down here.

He burned some incense, chanted a bit, then waved a wand as he re-installed the software and miracle of miracles I was back to burning.

Just kidding , but it sounded better than he re-installed the software properly

    Thanks for the help though!
