    Congratulations! I know the feeling. Though for me it is more about asking the LOML rather than the parents. But the basic issue is the same. Grats on the new lathe. Be sure to keep the photo's coming!

    Turn something really nice... finish it to the nth degree... show it to your Mom... and when she says, "Why, Andrew, that is just adorable!" You say, "It's for you, Mom." Then turn your Dad something nice, also.
