    Craftsman 10" sliding miter saw owners

    The dc on these suck, what has owners done to improve the dust collection?

    Red face Sell 'em and buy a Makita.

    Only thing to do is buy one of those aftermarket "cones" that fit behind the saw, and are hooked to the vac system.

    What I did

    I took some 1x12 made a barrier with sides facing toward the front of the work bench. I then cut a 4" hole directly behind the blade hooked my D/C to it, works like a charm. I did get the Up Date from Sears which has NO D/C out let at the handle, so all saw dust exits at the rear. If you have not recieved your up date, go to Sears Web page, put in your Mod# and see if you are entitled to a up grade GRATIS.
