Thread: crosscut sled

I have a Jointech SmartMiter and know many of you that have that or the Incra sled. Is there anything gained by having a homemade sled like this one?

    Try Your Library

Most Public Libraries would have this magazine. You can copy it there.

One option is to use Photoshop to open the pdf file then save copy.

Assuming you dont have Photoshop: Open the file in Adobe Acrobat. Use the snapshot tool (Tools -> Select&Zoom -> Snapshot tool). Select the whole page. Open MS Paint (under accessories) and paste it. Save as jpg.

Hope you can post it as i'd like the plan as well. Thanks

Or Hank, you could email the file to me and I will convert and post for you - with the appropriate credit, of course.

Price and the skills you develop trying to make jigs or tools improves your woodworking accuracy twice as fast and with less consequence than skill building on a project. my.02

Have you tried www.google.com and look up "crosscut sleds"? There are numerous sites with detail pictures and plans that can be printed off.

You can copy a picture from a PDF file with SnagIt and save it in a variety of formats
