    Bitternut Hickory Bowl

I've been back in the shop after the summer hiatus (no a.c. in shop, and one more year of keeping the golf handicap in single digits) This is hurricane Ike wood from Oxford Country Club. It turned out 10" x 4". Finished with hb oil, beall buffed and ren wax. I made this for my son who is the superintendant at Oxford Country Club. He wanted a bowl to give to the former superintendant who has been very helpful and supportive. I hope he likes it!

Steve - great looking bowl! Nice rim treatment! Pretty wood - grain & color! I am sure the former superintendent will love it! Very nice work!
