    Spray Poly Mistake

Thanks to previous help here in this forum, I put BLO on my first letter opener and I really like how it looks and how it is going to turn out. I thought I'd try a spray poly on my second one but after I got the first coat on I saw that I didn't like that look for this project. Can I just sand the poly and put something else over it or would I have to sand off ALL the poly, which I don't really think is feasible. What else should I try?

Thanks for your help. Pics comimg soon.

You can put another film finish over the poly after sanding. Since BLO penetrates you can't put that over poly without removing all of the poly.

You might try rubbing the poly with ms & paste wax and steel wool to obtain a matte finish that looks much like the BLO only.
