    Arbor shim

Anyone know of a way to make a larger arbor size dado set fit a smaller arbor? I can get a 1 3/8" arbor dado set for a decent price, my saw is a 1". It's for a radial arm saw.

They are called bushings. Amana, Freud and others make such bushings. Our dado sets are bored to 1 inch but I can put them on a 5/8" inch arbor no problem with the bushings. Each blade gets a separate bushing. Standard practice in the industry no problem.

Thanks Rick, I actually found the Freuds after I posted, glad to know they work well.
