    Flat Screen Cabinet

This is a design that I'm working on for a flat screen TV cabinet. To save time, I've purcahsed the cabinet door panels to be used on the front and sides, so those dimensions are constrained.

The top will be installed in two pieces, with the rear piece being hinged and covering only the TV area. The joint between the two will be cut on a slight bevel.

The cabinet is designed to accomodate a WhisperRide LCD lift.

    Do you have any suggestions?

Pretty cool. Can you design the rear top panel so that rather than having to manually open it, it can simply ride above the TV as it lifts? Maybe with a supporting post in each corner from the floor to the top. That way you just push the button on the remote, and you don't have to get up.

Thanks for the suggestions. The WhisperRide lift has a "lifter bar" built in. its a curved, padded metal bar that sits slightly higher than the top of the TV.

It will push the cover open automatically as the TV rises. Gravity will close the cover.

It should look like the attached when I'm done
