If you go for it please post your thoughts. I for one know that not ALL B&D is bad.

    Hello,
Of course its not the top model, but for under 10.00, can I go wrong?
    Go for it!
I have two B&D low end cordless screwdrivers.
One is 3.6V (4-AA batteries) and the other is a 2.something volt rechagable.

There's tons of places a low torque/low RPM cordless is just perfect for the job.

W/3 rental houses, I'm forever removing/rescrewing something or other - cabinet hinges, door knobs, cabinet hardware, switch plates/outlet covers, etc.

High torque and a lot of drive oomph, is good for driving fasteners intitialy.
It's also good for stripping out screws in older work/rework.

I have one of the VPX screwdrivers that I bought in a kit on clearance at Lowes.

    Here's what I found:

    Good:
    1. It will drive over 60 1 1/2" screws into a 2X4 on one charge.
    2. Light weight.
    3. 2 torque settings

    Bad:
    1. Clunky controls/switches
    2. Very long charge time 3+hours
    3. No variable speed

The flashlight and the little cut saw are my favorite in the kit.
