The letter is priceless! I'd love to see Monster Cable's response, if any.
Edit: Since this site doesn't appear to have been updated by Blue Jeans Cable as they said they would if a reply was received, I can only assume that Monster Cable decided not to enter the bear's cave.

Excellent letter! I happened to like the phrase, "Read the patents narrowly, and Monster loses; read them broadly, and Monster loses. " This is right before he explores, umm...Monster's, umm....business organization.

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
I agree. This is my favorite line: "Not only am I unintimidated by litigation; I sometimes rather miss it."
Some people depend on others to panic at the slightest hint of legal issues. I think such clowns count on people hearing about absurd and outrageous court cases in order to strike fear. Such stories are almost always exaggerated if not patently untrue. These days, it's very unlikely a judge or jury is going to side with an evil or corrupt agenda. Just ask O.J. Simpson.
Thus, if someone says to me, "I'm going to sue you", my answer would be, "I'm looking forward to it". No matter what the issue or the risk, I will refuse to give in to terrorism through litigation.

My favorite line is: "indeed, the less my customers think my products resemble Monster's, in form or in function, the better."
