    Very well done.
LOML and I got "eachother" and LCD tube as a communal gift this year which means a new stand is needed. Yours it just the ticket, I too am going to show this to my wife.
I as Walt n Sarge.... had no clue about QSWO ply.

    Well done Keith.

    Walt,

To answer your question about the doors, the doors are simply tongue and groove construction, then I routed a rabbet in the back to hold the glass. For the mullions, their thickness is as thick as the portion remaining after I routed the rabbet. I then glued a thicker piece to the back of the mullion that spans it and the rabbet. It serves to hold the mullion in place and as a stop for the glass.

Hopefully I explained that clearly enough. I'd take a photo, but with the glass stops in place, it's tough to see.

Great job on the TV console Keith.

I to am a big fan of the craftsman style.

Are there any other pieces that are going to added?
Maybe coffee table or end tables....

Wow Keith, that is a great looking TV cabinet. I love the craftsman style. I may imitate this one day even though it doesn't go with much in my home, I just love the look of it.

I like the design very much, and you did a great job building it too. Sure is worlds away better than what is commercially produced, without a doubt.

Hope I can do as well some day.

    This turned out very nicely.

I still have rental property in VA Beach. Maybe next time I am there on Business we could meet if you are ashore!

Which aspects make the piece more "Craftsman" than the original Woodsmith plans? What size TV is that?

    Gary,

I've got plans for a coffee table and end table hanging in the shop now!

Besides, it's high time that I replaced our almost 20 year hold coffee table and end table! I think their time has come and gone.

    Dewey,

Drop me a line the next time you're going to be out this way and we can get together for a cup of coffee or something.

Actually, I was out your way several months ago for an old shipmate's retirement in Denver. All of my old buddies are pulling chocks. There's only one or two of us still in. I'm starting to feel like the old man around here!

So Keith you must be a airdale, IE the pulling chocks comment.

So whats your rating , rate , etc. Have you ever been to NAS Whidbey?

Again nice work on the TV stand.

    Beautifull work.
I plan on building a coffee table in the future, but need to build my skills further to be able to build a quality piece like yours.

    Gregg,

Here's a picture of how the console is supposed to look based on the original plans:

I gave it more of a Craftsman look by changing the doors, the drawer and the feet and by adding corbels. Of course, going with QSWO also helped.

As for the TV, it's a 65" [stealth gloat]

    Paul,

Nope, not an Airdale, but I have been on two carriers, so I guess I've picked up some "pilot speak" over the years.

I was a former YNC who got commissioned via the Limited Duty Officer program. I'm now a LCDR.

My only time in the PACNORWEST was during a port call to Seattle. I've never been stationed there. Beautiful country up that way though.
