    5" dust collection hose?

I am having a lot of trouble finding any kind of 5" dust collector hose and fittings. Anybody know where there is a source for some? Is this just too much of a nonstandard size? I was thinking about going to 6" but my collector is only 2hp. If 5" just isn't available, is there a good place to get 6" stuff? I can get the 6" pvc at a borg, but looking more for blast gates and flexible hose. Thanks.

Flex hose I don't know about but for the PVC, I got mine from a plumbing supply house. For the blast gates, definitely recommend building your own. Very eas to do and will save you a TON of $$.

    Yes Oneida has it

And like you said, you do not want to go to 6 inch with a 2 HP collector. I was on the phone today with one of Onedia's sales rep (Amy) and was told to stick to 5 inch for anything less than an 18-20 inch planer and I have a 3 HP cyclone. Others here may disagree with that, but that is what I was told. Oneida also carries 5 inch blast gates, but I think I'm going to get the self-cleaning kind, and I've only seen them at Lee Valley.

    Marcus,

You can also try Wynn Environmental.
They are a pretty good outfit. Bought my DC filter from them. Great service.

I will plan on getting the one from Wynn, I have been looking to pick up one of their filters anyway. Didn't notice that they had tubing as well.

Now, can somebody point me to where I can get some 5" plastic dust ports to bolt to the machines?

Most of the 5" plastic fitting and hose I have found is made by Jet. Amazon and Toolking carry it.

Another fine company to try for all your dust collection needs:

    Air Handling Systems.

    www.airhand.com

They did the ductwork for Norm's shop (per their website).
