I'm all for lowering the guide for safety but too close just obscures your view.
The guide is no setup I've ever seen,
Can you split the plans down the middle and add in whatever length/width is needed to give you the 1.675 factor for all the affected parts?
My ranch has similar corners and the issue is made worse by the splash shields there to prevent water from the valleys from overshooting the gutters.
