Help, I don't have a Universal I have a Xenetech but perhaps someone could answer my question. It won't vector cut an arc. Some of the arc is an arc while some is straight lines. As a test I drew an elipse in corel and it did the same thing.
If I draw an arc and the plotter plots an arc what would make the laser cut an arc with some straight lines???

Great little group we have here but not much chatter. Im still waiting to send my order to the factory. I will send my down payment shortly then the factory will set my order for production. In the mean time I am studying all sorts of programing options and all of the fantastic ideas for products to sell. I am driving my wife crazy telling her about all of the things that come up in the threads. I know she'll be glad when it gets here just so I'll leave her alone. Little does she know but I've been inspired by "Steve". After the laser gets here I'm going shoping too.

Hey guys. I have a 660 with two 55w. I have gone through a few lenses from an employee not cleaning properly during some long jobs. Hooked up a chiller and some air and did a little wall to wall counseling and the issue seems to be fixed. I replaced a belt and some carriage bearings. I did have to send the board off once, but all my dealings with tech support have been great. Can anyone tell me about re-charging the lasers? Why, how often, etc.

    Cheers,
    Mark

I have a VL-200 and also a VLS 2.3, both are 30 watt and they work great other than had to buy a power supply for the VL-200 at the tune of $500. I use Corel X4 and also Corel 12.

No one has posted here in a while, but what the heck. Just recently joined the forum. About a year ago the wife and I bought a VLS4.60 30watt, added a rotary a few months ago, just upgraded to a 60 watt. No problems so far. I'm in Afghanistan at the moment, so haven't been able to do much with it in quite a while, but hopefully soon. Keeps the wife busy though. Sending jobs through it every day. Now just looking for a reason to buy another one. Like an ILS 12.75.

Hello, I have just joined today, have been reading forum for quite some time. Used much valuable info to guide me in buying a second hand uls 460 60 watt laser built in 2008. I knew absolutely nothing about lasers until I became interested in using something besides a cnc router to cut precise small inlays in wood. I wanted to avoid breaking small mills and having to make lots of tool changes. So I started looking at SWC and was able to make a decision to buy a laser based upon the expert advice of the contributors to the forum.

I would have possibly bought an import laser if I had not found out that it is not the best choice for a beginner. I have needed the support of manuals and the uls staff to get started and the uls is relatively easy to use. The import would have been a nightmare for me.

    Thanks,

    Joe Gay
