That answers my problem.
A New Professional Bandsaw sounds like a big bandsaw to me. I have a Minimax S45 bandsaw and I am not sure that is a Professional bandsaw but I am just a hobbyist.
What are you going to do with...
I also hated adjusting jointer knives. I found an
Oneway Multi-gauge for adjusting jointer knives which makes it real easy and fast. To me the difference is like adjusting a table saw by eye vs...
I have a number Stanley 7 plane which was my Grandfather's. I have used it to smooth boards with great success. My problem is flattening the edge and keeping it square. I have trouble with that. ...
I sold a blue almost new 14 inch Rikon and for the same money I bought a used Minimax S45 bandsaw. It was the best deal I ever did. The S45 had a little rust on the table but no pits. It cleaned...
My Minimax S45 has the teeth hanging off the front also. No big deal. It is just way it works.
Did you happen to check Tractor Supply? There carry a lot of motors.
Soak in 50/50 ATF and acetone. Turn motor so pulley is flat, soak one side of the pulley shaft touching the pulley and then turn motor and soak the other side so the fluid is running down into the...
What model is your Delta jointer?
I have a Jet jointer which I have not noticed any problems with.
Can you explain the difference? The good, the bad.
It is probably best to carry a magnet when stainless steel shopping. The best stainless does not rust and the magnet does not stick to it.. Think sailboats in saltwater.
I restored a 50 year old Atlas floor drill press. It was in bad shape all over except the bearing. It had been welded not very well to a wheel. The wiring was all cracked and needed replacement. ...
Go to know. I have friend which builds furniture for money. He is good but I think he still uses knives. At least over year ago when I toured his shop. He built a new house and shop. We are all...
So if you joint some cedar with a real Byrd head will it be smooth enough so women's hose will not catch on it. My Delta is very smooth after jointing cedar using knives.
I did not mean he had a real Byrd head as he had a China made tool. It was a year ago so I don't remember the brand. I will find out when I talk to him again. I have never seen a real Byrd Shelix...
I like the color of the Costco lights. We use 3 of them to light up our long kitchen counter. They get used every day for several hours. Out of 15 or 17 fixtures we had 1 light that was bad, dim. ...
You are correct. I have 15 or 17 Costco lights I installed last year. I remember them as 32 watts but I was wrong as I just looked it up.
So I have question. Are knives smoother than the bryd heads? I have a friend with some type of bryd China made head. It is a little on the wavy side and rough. I use my 6 inch Delta to smooth...
I think the Costco lights give off more Lumens unless you are running multiple bulbs and then you are burning more power(watts). I guess there is nothing free.
There were no shims with my Unisaw. I have a 3 hp old Baldor motor in my Unisaw. It was a lot easier to remove the motor and top loading it in my big pickup truck.
One of the happiest monemts in a boat owners life is when you first buy it. I owned a Philip Rodes Bounty II 41' sailboat for about 10 years in the past. It was a lot of fun. There seems to be...
I have a 6 inch jointer and wish sometimes I had an 8 inch but I have a small shop. Seems like you would want an 8 inch with the longest tables. I have a Delta 6 inch which works great. I have a...
If you are asking about the Unisaw then yes the wings detach. In fact I took my Unisaw apart to move it by myself when I bought it. I took the 2 wings off. I took the motor out. With the saw...
I always thought the bigger wheels go on the slower speed units.
