Probably so, but I haven't found my 80 grit paper on my 19-38 to do any worse or gum up with fully hardened titebond 3. Still, I'd much rather replace sandpaper than planer knives or cutterheads!
Let the glue fully harden and then run it through your drum sander the next day. No problems.
Could be the fence slipping. Make sure that lever is really tight or better yet get a domiplate from Seneca
Starter pin! I have the same bit and it's a beast, will grab especially at end grain. But I slowly rotate the piece into the bit with a starter pin as the fulcrum, and then it's pretty easy after...
Sorry should have specified, a router TABLE. Handheld would be very difficult, agreed.
A router shouldn't be too hard. No need for the bit to drop below the table like with a blade, just stop the motor with a brake.
I don't mind laying the plane down on the sole but I do set it down as gently as possible on only wooden surfaces.
Interesting, I've been waiting for a #7 for a while now so I hope they show up on the website or email me as well. Did they say how many years ago they switched from paint to powder coat? Were there...
You act like all of that is some kind of insurmountable problem for a multi-billion dollar corporation to solve. These companies crying "supply chain issues" all stand to benefit because it...
Is that light you got on amazon significantly brighter than the one that Laguna makes?
I love how companies always say their tolerances are +/- (insert the variance you measured here)
Have you checked the bag? I think they do that sometimes when the bag is nearly full. Or the filter could need to be cleaned. Check both of those first!
I've had a mini-gorilla for about a year, and overall am pretty pleased. I use 4" flex hose with quick connectors at each tool. Also, I just use large black 33gal trash bags from Sams and although...
I think the issue is that you're sanding a tight inside wedge of hard maple - that is probably putting more torque on the spindle and sleeve than is possible to overcome without permanent attachment....
Bottom slippery, yes. I think all would agree the bottom must glide across the table saw smoothly. Paste wax takes care of that. But the top side, unfinished is best - you don't want it too slick...
Again you're talking about a 3.5 and 1.5yo...I doubt they can articulate the dangers of each machine and what to avoid. The point here buddy is that you are trying to introduce woodworking way too...
Yeah I'm not a fan. It's a bad idea for children to associate potentially dangerous shop tools with fun and play, especially in ones that young. I get that everyone wants to get their kids/grandkids...
I've been using the Bosch 1617EVSPK 2.25hp router in my Sawstop router lift. Pretty happy with it. Came with collets for 1/2 and 1/4 inch bits. Wish I didn't have to use two wrenches to change bits,...
Mark, this gentleman is simply sharing a great experience he had with his sliding table saw. No need to belittle his post by implying similar experiences have been posted before. We can all...
A low blade and kickback coincide with kickback? Could you clarify?
Also, what is it about a riving knife that is not practical in normal workflow? Blade guard sure, but I fail to see how a riving...
What's the noise like? I feel like that motor running inches from your ears would get annoying after a little while.
That's an interesting article but unfortunately it is very dated. The last line of the 3rd paragraph is "Light emitting diodes (LED’s) are an emerging technology and are also omitted." Would love to...
I have the ICS base and love it. Moves like it's floating on air. And if you ever decide to get the SawStop router table extension you must have the ICS base, not the PCS base. Something to think...
Looks amazing. You may have covered this before, but what dust collector are you using?
