Hello all,
I searched the group and don't think this has been shared here. I came across this video a few days ago and was blown away. It's a little long but well worth watching....
That sounds like something I would do!!!
Cutting of live Koa is pretty much restricted unless it's on private property-as a consequence much of it is harvested from fallen trees which may have been on the ground for many years so may have...
Whiteside. High quality bits made in America by a family owned business. Very nice people as well.
Bingo!!! I do this frequently.
But do you have shoes to match?:D Just joshing of course! That's great way to re-purpose something. But I think it's a ploy to allow her to purchase more handbags!
I have an old Delta 1x30 and sometimes wish it had variable speed. Rikon now makes them with variable speed.
I've made dozens of picture frames over the years and for me it depends on the size of the frames, the quantity needed, and the types of wood. For smaller frames, as Jerry suggested glue and pin...

At work I occasionally need to work with 1/4" polycarbonate with lengths as long as 8 feet. I would like to be able to dress the edges by using a router to trim off approximately 1/16"...
Nice score!

Koa is prized for it's beauty and cultural significance. In the past it was reserved for Hawaiian Royalty. As Zac said, while not extremely, rare much of it grows on government or conservation...
Thanks actually not too bad! Sorry-meant that's not too bad-especially for quartersawn.
+1 on those except I often hit the trigger by accident. I think I will put a stop on a tether to prevent that. But it's really handy that the blower is always there.
Yup, Had that happen more than once! Lotta fun trying to put things back together.
+1 on the iron on method. If you're using raw veneer it will most likely curl when you first apply the glue but will mostly flatten after the glue dries. You'll also want to cut the veneer...
Wow-that's awesome customer service! For future reference, dirty battery contacts are often the culprit. A light cleaning with fine sandpaper might revive the light.

Hello all,
Generally here in Hawaii we don't see high end antique furniture but something gorgeous showed up on Craigslist. I wish I had the money and space to purchase it.
