I don't for most things. However, for $330 a year for 5 extra years, I would. The chips and complete boards can be pretty costly.
I have the A3-41. It is a great machine. I haven't had any issues with it at all. Like Thomas, I set it on a Bora Portamate 3550 base.
I don't have a laser yet but I'm doing some serious looking. A lot of people seem to like Thunder lasers.

Has anyone seen or used the Harvey COMPASS RG-1/RG-2 Universal roller guides.
They look solid and would be a pretty useful addition to my shop, but the price seems way too high.
I'd...
I know this is not a 8" jointer, but I'd recommend you spend a bit more and get a 16".
That's what I did. I got a Hammer A3-41A (not the combo). It is a great jointer.
Another vote for the electric Sun Joe.
I have a Laguna 18BX. I love it!
I bought a couple of slabs from them last year.
Good price and quick shipping.
No issues at all.
I've had my 5hp ICS for about 6 years now. Never had an issue. I love it.
Looks great, Jim, I'm jealous of your "above ground" shop. Can't wait to see your layout.
I have an assembled left side sled and a right side sled still in the box. Never really used them. Send me a PM if you are interested.
That makes sense, Russell. Not something I'd thought about before. Thanks.
I must admit I really like the Jet but I'm still comparing models.
I'm trying to see if I can actually swing a floor...

I have an old Delta Boss spindle sander that recently died on me.
Looking for a replacement. I don't have room (or money) for a floor mounted spindle sander so I'm looking another...
I have the Sawstop ICS. I love it.
You wont regret getting a Sawstop.
As Rich said, consider putting in a subpanel so you can have 220.
I use the ones that Costco sells; they go on sale pretty often too.
They are connectable up to four in a string and put out a load of nice bright light.
Go for a 100 amp sub-panel The added cost is minimal.
Agree with Tom. Look at a mini-split for heat and cooling. That's what I did in my garage shop.
Agreed. The discount code from Jay Bates worked for me when I bought one last month.
Before I bought I emailed them to see if there would be a Black Friday / Christmas sale.
They were...
I use the Festool STM 1800 Saw Table / Work Bench to move and cut down full plywood sheets. It tilts and the wheels lock so you can easily load it / unload it.
When not in use it folds up and...
I love my Festool TSC 55 KEB Track Saw. I no longer use my table saw to break down sheet goods. I also double stack sheet and cut them together.
We gave one to our daughter and son-in-law for their deck.
They love it.
You did the best you could for him, Perry.
Hopefully now, Sebastian can be at peace and be loved and play forever.
Just got on CAMHeads.
The color format seems to have changed, but the forum is working fine
Thanks, Guys.
That’s exactly what I was seeing when I tried to log on.

A quick question. Does anyone know if there is an ongoing issue with the CAMHead forum?
As of a couple of days ago, the forum appears in a list format versus it normal format (like shown...
