Years ago I got a 2.5in screw chuck from harbor fright with the 1inx8tpi. it was cheep and I have used it for years. I now have some projects that I need to have more then one of this chuck.

In Fact I have been looking at what they have to do my "tailstock" I would have to drill out one of theres to make it work I went and ordered one I think the worst case will be I have to drill it...

I am with you on this one I too think it is due to heat I have one that had a large crack after turning the pen it is two years old now and no more cracks and still looks good but for the crack:eek:

Well I am sure glad I am not the only one to always end up with cracks in my snakewood pens:D
