A little darker than the example pic. It doesn't look bad at all, but she thinks it's a tad too dark, I guess.
I'll try rub n buff on some scrap glass, we'll see how that goes.
Is there something out there that allows me to color fill glass to make it more white? We are using some smoked glass plaques (I think from JDS) and the customer liked them, but wondered if there was...
Just a little update:
We decided to go both. I have been reading about these 100-200 dollar printers that can do CLTT just fine, so we went ahead and bough a dye sub setup and we're also going to...
Is screen printing the only viable process?
Thanks for the reply Mike.
My only concern is on fabrics, how durable is the transfer? I've read that CLTT is not ideal because it can crack and peel, while dye sub cannot of course. I'm sure it...
Hi there! I hope this is in the correct forum. We own a small trophy/awards business and we want to expand our capabilities. Currently we have a 45 watt Epilog laser that has been our sole workhorse...
I have a lady who wants ten stands or holders for basketballs. She is envisioning a cup of some sort that the ball can be halfway inside of, because the last stands she had (that she made) were too...
Can you make one out of wood? Would the wax stick to it? I have heard you can put a little cooking oil on it but I've never seen one made of wood so I didn't know if it was even worth trying out.
But of course :)
Cool :D I can't wait to see the movie....
I was not a fan of the scrolling in X5 when we first got it, but now after I've gotten used to it I prefer it over the old way.
(Also, change doesn't equal broken :D)
I've run my laser on XP as well as Win 7 with no ill-effects. Make sure Epilog has a compatible driver (32bit vs 64 bit, depending on your new computer).
Same here, looks fine to me  Vectors scale mathematically, they will look the same no matter the size (as long as you scale in proportion).
Is this your first laser?
If it's wood we use powdercoat paint from Harbor Freight, it works really well. I forget my settings but its something like 12 power, 100 speed on our 45w epilog. We did a lot of testing with it...
I'm interested in this information as well. Mine never (ever) comes out like it should.
My default work area size is 24x18, my laser's table size :)
So you'll be using a laser and not a router?
He most likely cut it with his CNC machine.
But regular mirrors shouldn't be able to reflect the beam like that, should it? I've been burning through mirrors for years (both sides) and nothing like this has happened. What a weird mishap.
Yeah, I don't understand either
Tough one.
Did you try a line drawing search?
...
I live and die by the almighty power that is Vector Magic.
Heh, I was the uploader, I was quite surprised to see it in use :D Looks great!
