I'm putting 3/4" ply on the interior walls of my post beam shop building. Floor to ceiling is ~10'6", so mostly full 4x8' sheets, with some cutting and fitting to fill in the gaps...
2nd Tom King's recommendation on the wax warmer. I got one a few years ago and love it. The adjustable heat control makes it easy to get your desired temp/thickness. I use an instant read thermometer...
Would love to have an update, Robin. Let us know how the install went, how you like the saw, etc.

And when you do switch out the brake, make sure to reset the distance from the brake to your 8" dado blade(s). DAMHIKT
I've had really good cuts with my Infinity Dadonator and recommend it with no reservations. Flat bottoms and clean shoulders. I'm not sure about pricing, but they do go on sale every now and again.

Barry Wixey sells great DRO's that can be adapted to fit most any application. Do a quick search and you'll find him with no problem:)

Just one bit of advice from an owner of the original model cabinet saw: make sure and pay attention to the setting of the blade/brake distance when changing...
