I bought a old truck frame and mounted my oscar 18 to it. Put some jack stands under it to get it up off the floor. I have it in my garage to make it handy. Works well for me.

I took my watch off 16 years ago when i retired and never worn one since.
Forgot to mention sound boards for music boxes. Tried several different wood and found the eastern red cedar to be the best of the ones I tried. Nothing scientific, just my opinion. Dan
I cut and use eastern red cedar for everything from siding to arrow shafts with good results. Carves well on the Cnc all around good wood to work with. Dan
Good idea...hand mirror you can hang anyware. Does the mirror swivel?
I have built small cabinets, rail and stile doors out of lumber that I cut on my mill. Had good luck with those trees. But I have also cut some trees that were squirrely.. advise above is a good way...
I question the validity of that claim. I’ve turned a lot of dead standing wood with no notisabl difference. I look for dead standing to turn. Just my opinion and not criticizing an expert. Dan.

I dry mine inside basement with a small fan on it with good results .65 deg year around. Built many pieces with no issues. Dan

Holding those small logs is always the issue for me. Made a couple of fixtures to do that with limited success. Out us know how you come out.
