I've been surpisingly pleased with the Ridgid lam trimmer. I think it was around $100. Easy to handle, not too top heavy, adjustable speed... The only negative I have is the depth adjustment.

I'm on the fence about getting a Byrd cutterhead for my DJ-20. Most reviews are positive but I have a question.
I had to adjust the parallel the other day and the first step is to set the...
I got the cedar flooring in this tack trunk at HD. It comes as a 20 sqft package (IIRC) and has T&G sides and ends. The outermost pieces had to be trimmed to fit. I screwed cleats on each end to hold...
I have to admit I have a weakness for routers...Four Dewalts, two Porter-Cable, a couple of old Craftman and two Dremels. None of them work as well as the $99.00 (or less?) Ridgid I picked up a few...
Howard:
Check out this site. It's my next shop project as soon as I can get my hands on one of these blowers.

This seems to work for me. (If the picture comes up...)
I installed some DriCore last summer in the "traffic" area of my shop - under the workbenches and along the perimeters. The installation was simple and my feet, back and dropped tools are thanking me...
I also have a Lion Trimmer that I used the other day for the first time in years. After trying to "fine tune" a cherry frame I remembered why I haven't used it in a while. Seems that half way...
I second all compliments. Arts & Crafts style is my favorite, too. Please include me with a set of those plans.

I'll be interested to know what they say...Mine has a similar sound.
The rest of the center will also be Red Oak and I'm more than happy for that grain to show, even stand out. But it's those wide stripes in the rotary cut ply that are annoying. I'll use plain...
Good Morning,
I'm putting together an entertainment center and using Red Oak ply for the shelves. What's the best procedure to reduce the tiger stripe/barber pole effect that occurs when...
Great job, Fred...Sorry about your router mishap, any smoke in the shop that's not from the wood stove usually spells trouble. Are you still up for getting together sometime?
Pete
Add me to the list...I was in a hurry to get to the woodworking show in Edison Dec.17th, was angle-cutting a 2x4 for a doorway step plate on the MM16...Next thing I know I'm holding my right hand as...
That's for the 694VK, 1 1/4 HP.

I can see the hours you spent...Good job to you and your crew, I hope many years of dustfree woodworking are ahead. BTW where did you pick up the 6" flex hose?
I meant putting the dust collector on a mobile platform - that way neither has to be lifted...bolt that DC down to the top, and the weight of the compressor on the bottom should help stabilize...
I believe this is the type I've got...It's a friction style and it fits directly to my DC port therefore I don't need blastgate on that side. (The other half of the "Y" is attached to the TS and does...
First off, congrats on the new unit.
How much space do you have above the DC? Could you build a mobile base with maybe some storage area in it to go under the unit bringing it level to your...
I was recently at Lowe's and noticed one sheet was damaged. I checked with the department manager and he let me take it for $15.00...Poke around the stack....
I also attended CFC about ten years ago. I have to second Jay's report...The emphisis is on technique and proceedure, not the final project; as a matter of fact, I didn't even finish mine while I...
This is disturbing...I just got a new 30T yesterday, haven't even opened the box yet.
