What he said. I use a Trimaster on a MM16 and still grin every time I use it. A carbide blade is going to give you a huge improvement on resaw cut quallity whatever saw you end up with.
I've been real happy with my Makita (no-brake version tho I forget the model number). It replaced my old C-man which could not be adjusted to cut a perfect 90 degcrees to the base plate (the plate...
The only thing I've got on my PM66 is a zero clearance insert which I always use unless I've got the dado stack on the saw. The guard is never on. I'm embarassed to say that I've had a MJ splitter...
Another very satisfied owner of the LV brad point bits. They're without a doubt the sharpest set of bits I've ever bought. I've managed to cut myself a few times by gripping them along the flutes...
Shoot - I just placed an LV order a few days ago and didn't see that new gauge or I might have ordered one. I've got a dual gauge from BCTW that's nice but a bit on the larger (clumsier) side. The LV...
This one peeves me off once a week, usually multiple times on the same trip to the grocery store.
I really hate aisle-hogs. While searching shelves on one side of the aisle, they leave their cart...

I've got a Noden bench

Not sure how far from me you are but if you want to check out the Noden hardware close up, drop me a PM...

I've got the Zambus under my MM16 bandsaw and they work really well. However, Zambus prices are a bit steep compared to equivalent ones offered by Great Lakes caster which a lot of folks have used...
Been there - done that about 2 years ago. Busted my hip pretty badly and it was misdiagnosed for 3 weeks while I hobbled about in severe pain. Finally got it replaced once they figured out what the...
So I go check out the Hammer videos

and like what I see. Definitely some cool changes from my A3-31. I like...
What size/make of BS are you using? I'm wondering if it's not tensioning the blade enough and what you're hearing is the blade slipping (in fits) on the wheels??
I dont know about the 1/2" but the...
You could do this on a TS pretty easily too. Clamp a stop block to the fence and raise the blade all the way up. With 2x material the cut will only be slightly arced with the blade all the way up....
Not a folded plenum but I just went with a 6" thick filter through the closet wall with my ClearVue and dont have any noise concerns. I really hear more air rushing through the ducts than noise...
Cant you just do "dir /x > textfile.txt" then use Notepad or similar to view the output?
I've got pretty much all parallel jaw clamps and very few F type clamps so the slot milled into the Bowclamps for the clamp screw head is pretty useless for me, but otherwise I've found them pretty...

Sent you a PM
My Knew Concepts saw is in the mail as of yesterday and I've been having the same blade questions today. I think I've got some 12 & 16 TPI blades already that should suffice for wood. But one of the...
Thanks for the feedback y'all. Think I'll try the belt sander next and see how that goes.
A couple years back I picked up a 2nd blade for my LN LA Jack plane to use with a higher angle for more figured woods. Never got around to regrinding it until last fall and then only partially got...
Best tip I ever learned was to flip the plane upside down and run a small wood scrap over it to set the cutting depth. It's pretty easy to adjust for too deep of a cut when muscling the plane over...
Same here.
I've got a 12" Disc/6x48 Belt combo and use the heck out of the disc but not so much the belt. I'd definitely want to replace the disc if it failed but think I'd rather have an edge sander than the...
I'd love one.
