I use an oily rag to wipe down any tool I’ve used. After using a brush to clean out as much dust and chips. Just like many have mentioned.

LV has a 20tpi dovetail saw. I think I’d just buy that instead and save $25
My cleats have 6.25” clear between them. I think they’re about 3.25” wide. I don’t know why those dimensions to be honest. And my cleats have 45 bevels each side because I just set the blade to 45...

Go with a LV low angle jack and a LN 60.5. Both of those planes you’d have to pry from my cold dead hands. However, both planes - especially that block - is a matter of feel. You need to try them...

How sharp is it? Can it slice unsupported paper like you might see chef do in a YouTube video? Is the mouth closed tight or wide open? How deep is the cut?
