I've tried all the local hardware stores with no success. I spent maybe 60 minutes looking online before I started this thread. It may be easier replacing all that I need than to find the exact one....
I found mine on eBay under spindle sander. They are made by Jet and I think a 4 pack was about $15 w/ free shipping.
Thanks Keith. Maybe the next time I head over to the Bay area I'll plan a stop in Belmont. Thank you. Tim
Any other ideas or suggestions?
Does anyone know where I can find a knob similar to the picture attached? The diameter is 1 7/16". Thanks, Tim
I agree. I bought some of their clamps as well. The way they overlap the spiral tube is really cool and makes for a better seal.
I don't keep anything shorter than 12". It is more of a safety concern for me. I was taught, if it's shorter than 12", you should not run it through a planer. However, the wife has taken up making...
I bought mine through Wynn environmental. I think 10' was about $50.
If it is the JET DC 1200, yes that would be a better choice IMHO.
Very nice! How did you match the paint? Looks like you got a close match.
I would agree on the 3 phase tools. My TS, Planer and jointer are all 3 phase. But I only have a 7.5 HP phase converter to run them. I can run the TS and Jointer at the same time w/o issue. But have...
Thank you David... I found a used one that is a couple years old. The guy is asking $1200. On a used Torit, Aget or Dustkopp what models would work well in a home shop? Thanks, Tim
Here is the link... this is about the same price as a new Laguna SUV14...

Another very nice BS worth considering is Felder FB400.
Just curious to hear if anyone has one and how they like it? I know General of Canada tools are very good quality. Had the model 350 TS at one time. Not sure about General International tools? How...
Very nice set up Jeff.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll pass them on to Bill. Tim
A friend of mine just bought a very nice 1966 Powermatic Model 72 Table Saw. It has the 1" arbor. Seems most dado sets are for the 5/8" Arbor. Looking for suggestions. Thank you, Tim
Turns out the reset was broke in shipping. Took it to the local Baldor authorized repair station. They'll replace the reset button or the motor. Hopefully I'll have it back this week. Thanks, Tim
It was single phase as well.
I've wired the new Baldor 3hp, single phase motor per the tag on the motor. I have #1 Blue and #8 red wired together with the white lead. I have the #4 yellow wired to the black lead and I have the...
Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments and suggestions. I'll let you know how it goes this weekend. Tim
Here is a picture of the top. I'll try the oxalic acid to see if it works. Thanks190426
I asked the owner and he ddin't know what was on the rag. He bought them at auction and the rag was sitting on them. I tried thinnner and it didn't remove any of the stain.
I just purchased a pair of speakers that someone had put a soaked rag on the top of one of them. Not sure what was in the rag, but it is much darker than the light color of the oak speaker cabinet....
