thanks a lot. i am not a big fan of beading because of dust but figured i would it just this once.
could you folks help me with appying a bead to the face frame. i am going to pin nail it around. but how would you make the bead- what type of router bit and what sort of dimensions. i could just use...
it looks like bench dog and mcls have different size plates. my router tables have 11 3/4 x 9 something. i know it fits my jointech and woodpecker lift. you need a different insert hole for the mcls...
i have made a lot of cabinets. very few are perfectly square. but i have put a square in many top end cabinets in the face frames or inside with the square on the bottom or top . once again very...
i have the jointech and love it. incra seems to be the exact same thing. do not get it for doing big dovetail or boxjoint projects. it is good for what it is advertised- jewerly or small projects...
i would love to know which people use the band saw so much. i know what is it great for but i have managed without it . and i know some folks use their bandsaw almost like a tablesaw. so just...
i learned the hard way in the past about moisture content.i always check the moisture content of the wood. nothing is more frustrating than taking the time to joint your faces and edges, run the wood...
i hate it but use it for all indoor projects. i would love to buy wood that was very flat. i would love to pay extra for someone to joint my wood. to me it is just a pain but part of wood working....
i have some sommerfield bits. they seem very good. i caanot tell the difference between freud, whiteside or sommerfield or cmt. i did but the tabletop and fence but returned it however. the tabletop...
i have looked at this jessem tool. it seems like overkill for over 200 dollars. also what does it do that any miter gauge in at slot doesnt do? if you have a miter slot in your router table why not...
thank you very much
any ideas on how to shave down some protruding ends of nails and screws - roughly sticking out 1/8 of an inch. thanks
i agree with frank about the mft table. the alignment is not perfect and difficult to get perfect and when perfect does not stay perfect. but i do love the festool circular saw and rail system in...
i love repeatibilty or ability to creep up or just take alittle more off so i have the jointech. but the incra does the same. to make a dado just a little wider or change a molding profile just a...
i have the 110 inch rail. connecting the two never was perfect for me.years ago the long rail was much cheaper. also make sure there is no play in the saw when it is on the guide rail. i use this...
the cabinet looks great but the sliding dovetail on one side only looks out of place and too busy. but looks well done.
i am a hobbyist. i have good friends who are contractors. it seems that many of the folks on this woodworking board are into perfect tuning and alignment of all their tools. the contractors i know...
some fences have no way to square the fence to the tabletop.to me this is important if you are running tall boards against your fence.dont count on your fence face being automaticly square to table...
i love microadjust on a router table fence.even when using a bearing bit i use the microadjust to get the bearing just right on the straightedge.jointech, incra and pat warner have microadjust.pat...
in deciding on high priced tools i decide is it really much better and helpful.that said my favorite are jointech digital router lift, jointech or incra router fence, dowelmax, festool circular...
festool is known for quality and accuracy.it appears to me that the hobbyists like myself are more into festool, dowelmax, jessem etc.i live in a small town and know 4-5 custom builders.i see the work...
my point about vulgarity on other sites i visit for sport or stock information is how there are so many sick people in the world who seem to gravitate to those sites.i do not see them on woodworking...
