Beautiful piece, I love the green highlights and the finial is top notch.
Thom, I haven't been browsing for a while I almost missed your piece, absolutely beautiful and exquisitely done. What an eye catcher, this is a piece that only a few people who do woodturning could...
Jim, the feet on the bowl make it really nice, from a very nice bowl with no feet, to a gallery style bowl with the feet and a real standout. I'm sure someone would be willing to pay some good money...
Rich, if that were your 50th hollow form it would be very nice, being your first it is really exceptional work.
Excellent piece, I love the way you make the wood look like it's dripping off the pedestal. Also your form displays the wonderfully figured wood to maximum effect. Very nice and well done.
Hers's three ornaments I turned the last couple of days. Black and white ebony with gabon ebony finials, sea urchin (alfonso) with gabon ebony finials, and an apple with gabon ebony finials. Thanks...
Love it Robert, the rich red color almosts vibrates with energy. This took some work, I know how hard red mallee is, but well worth the effort, just a gorgeous turning.
Great color Steve and the translucence and finish are top notch.
My favorite wood, good looking bowl and nicely fisnished.
Man Scott I loved your pierced work, the beauty and artistry gives me a good feeling just looking at it.
Beautiful pieces, real eye catchers, very elegantly done.
That's some amazing work Bill, I think a first place award for sure.
Very nice Scott, your attention to detail is great, I like the shadows in the gate and how real that makes everything look, and your texturing of the castle to look like real stone is exceptional. ...
Man Dennis that is really nice. I like the dying effect, hard to believe this was a plain piece of wood. I love the shape and the way the colors swirl around the dark beads, and the way the dark...
I like this Toby, nice shape, great looking wood, and nicely finished, I can see why it sold right away.
Jack, these were my favorites in your 1st posting, the proportions are so perfect and the finish looks like glass. Looking at it, it give the impression of pure elegance and balance, like the room...
Brian, that's a great looking bowl accent, sometimes the heavier bowl has more of a quality feel to it than a thin bowl that feels as light as balsa wood. A lot of times a person is disappointed as...
Yup, absolutely stunning!
Bob, I think this is just outstanding, I love your technique around the rim and the bowl center is a beautiful metallic copper like color which would be so hard to duplicate. You made a one of a...
Man, Toby, that's just a beautiful piece, I've never seen beech that striking, wonderfully done!
Nice Jack, especially like your vases and nestling natural edge bowls.
Doug, I especially like your natural edge bowl, for this not being your favorite thing to do, you nailed it. The south western pot is my 2nd pick, This elm looks a lot like the camperdown elm tree...
Outstanding looking wood and your forms are always sooo interesting to look at.
Here's a cherry burl mounted on a twisted cherry stem, the burl is 71/2 in. wide and overall height is 9in. Finished with 2 coats of danish oil so far. I did a little carving around the stem to...
