Doug you are exactly right here. It is a rude generalization no matter how cleverly the semantics are worked.
Here in the Philly suburbs, sarcasm, wit, wise guy, what ever you want to call it is the norm. I have learned that people from other places don’t always get it or appreciate it. I don’t use it in...
Thanks again folks! I take all your responses seriously. I have a metered well that needs to be in sync with the septic pump out as here holding tanks only are required (Long story).
I...
I rout out a hand grip about 3/8 deep on the ends. Then add rubber feet with stainless screws that lift it up another 3/8 or so. Keeps the board from sitting directly on wet counters and tables.
Very nicely done. Looks great!
Sorry to be the Negative Nancy here, but I would get rid of the table. Hard to know if home baked solutions have worked. If you have a professional outfit that does this regularly that is the only...
There is one being built here. Not like crazy though.
So I could not see it on my cell phone. As soon as I put it on my laptop it became apparent.

and resawing with a band saw. If you...
Funny you posted that. I was just thinking the other day that some of the tools in my garage are things only a woodworker would want and there are none in my life who don't have...
Generally don’t borrow tools. I have in rare occasions with tools that have a low chance of bring damaged.

My Uncle lost the first digit on his middle finger on a jointer.
I do based on my father saying it. He worked repairing the tanks on those gad trucks and said the bottom was loaded with gunk and dirt. I suspect truck tanks have come along way and better...
I have a Karcher electric. It works fine but it does not have the power of a gas one. For instance, I used to wash the bottom of my boat when I pulled it for the season and it got most of the gunk...
I know what you mean Ken.
I was at the cottage for the past 3 days thinking when I get home I need to start tuning up that old plane the I got years ago from who knows where. Well I pick it up...
Well I got back to the cottage today. I replaced the breaker with a new one. Ran the heater for over an hour and breaker did not trip. Also, while it did get slightly warm, it was nowhere near as...
We owe so much to all vets. Today a special thanks to our Vietnam Vets!
My Father in Law worked for a fiberglass fabrictor/repair company. They did a lot of work for a major chemical company who did not allow box knives in their factories.
