Go to recycle store and get a solid core door. Cut to size, glue & screw 1"" MDF to this. Double sided tape a 1/8" hardboard for the top and trim it out with pine. When the top gets damaged change it...
If you try King Canada.com and look for the CT380C you should be able to print off a manual. I believe it is the same machine.
There is also a parts manual available.

I have an RT 1000 which was based on Norm's design. The dust collection is very good from most units I have used or seen.

I have just taken delivery of a SCTW saw as well. Everything seemed fine when the saw was uncrated but the main table and one wing looked and felt as they had not been ground/polished after the...
Congratulations.
CDR (Ret'd) from the navy north of you.
Chris they are also to have the cast top and riving knife. It was delivered here north of the border back in mid March. I understand that this is cheaper than the granite topped saw.

Steel City has and will release these this month. Just printing the manuals but you should inquire for the exact date.
I am currently reviewing 3 saws for a purchase (Delta, General International, and Steel City). The thing that bothers me about this is future alignment problems. The contractor saw I have keeps going...
I was informed by the Canadian sales that the US division is having sales meetings this week and are finalizing the pricing on their new units that are to be released in the next month. These include...
A friend uses tools that have been cast offs, (from the dump or on there way there), not one new tool. The shop was built with recycled materials. It is a delight to see him work and the pieces he...
Good day from the great white north, at least this week.
I must have been real good this past year. :) :) :)
Picked up a Delta 16 1/2" (590 L) drill press the week befor Christmas, and the LOML surprised me with a 9" disc / 6 x 48 belt sander. Then #2...
I have just in the past month purchased the RT1000SE. I am very pleased with this unit and find the dust collection to be superior to many of the other units I have seen and tried.
I had that problem and put mine in a freezer for and hour. The rubber shrank and the sleeve came right off.
In a few months Loews is opening their first box here in Canada. I am only a 15 min drive from the location in Hamilton.
How do they compare to the orange box and what should I expect in service,...
