Some of the news websites I read now use an 'ad removal pass'. Basically if it detects an ad blocker, it blocks access to the site. If the user buys the ad removal pass, they can see the content...
Awesome, thanks!
I'm making a dining room table and the top is solid wood. I plan on attaching it to the aprons with shop-made buttons to allow for wood movement.
If the buttons are 3/4" thick, should I use 1" or...
I don't know whether that is anything specific to that saw but I'm sure one consideration is that it is being filmed on a set with lights. Think how much dust you see in the air in your living room...
Very much what I do as well, if the Dylos is showing some operation put a lot of dust in the air, I'll run my main DC with an open gate. It really clears up the air. Basically I measure the dust...
Exactly the same with me - even having a Wen air filter. The Dylos takes the FUD out of the equation. Turning on the air filter lowers the ambient small and large particle counts. Simple.
I have mine setup on a shelf. I also periodically move it around.
I have the same Dylos. I like that I can see how dusty certain operations are (sorting through a woodpile generated a surprising amount of dust). I let it run in continuous mode most of the time I'm...
For me...
+1 on the Jessem table saw stock guides, I too don't think I could live without them.
Digital depth gauges, angle finders, calipers and protractors - not every project lends itself to...
I used to use them a lot but then I got the Jessem Clear-Cut TS stock guides, now I only the Grr-Rippper for narrow cuts.
I'm assuming that you are using your 20'x20' shop for something other than just woodworking if you cannot fit a dust collector. However, really consider tool priorities and at least try and fit a...
I am sensitive to noise and use good quality sound blocking earmuffs. My 735 may be the loudest of my tools but the earmuffs bring the sound down low enough that it isn't an issue.
I have the Festool 150/5 ETS EC and absolutely love it. It is ridiculously overpriced but it is my single most used tool. It can be aggressive or it can be nice finishing sander. It is nice to hold...
I also have the router set but you will have to slide them right on and off the T-track each time you need to do a cut that doesn't or can't use them. I agree that the wheels don't need to be very...
I have the Jessem guides and did a review here - lumberjocks.com/reviews/6514
I've found with a through cut, that the overarm dust collection works quite well. However for cuts that are trimming, dust will fly out the side.
I think the design of the SS overarm dust...
What are your impressions?
Wow, sucks for anyone who had been planning on buying a Kapex come Feb. 1st when they were scheduled to be on sale.
Great video - very informative, thanks for posting it.
I use a 240V, 30 amp electric heater I bought from Lowes to heat up my attached, insulated garage. It has a nice red glowing coil and a fan that blows. I have zero concern that dust presents any fire...
I am also curious about this jig - has the OP or anyone else tried it out yet?
I set off my PCS once when I raised the blade too high and grazed the metal on my crosscut sled. I had hearing protection on and didn't even here or feel it, the blade was just gone.
The blade was...
