Thanks Edward, much appreciated.
Some great suggestions and I look forward to implementing once I get my shop moved. I will most likely start with circular saw, a good blade and homemade guide, maybe upgrade to a commercial track...
Thanks Jim, Yes, we in Canada do not have the great selection our friends in the US have and are often limited.
I love you avatar, my lifetime hero.
I have always been challenged with accurately cross cutting sheet goods square when making pieces that are wider than 16", for example 24" wide for cabinet making. At my disposal are; RAS, sliding...

My all time favorite quote from a great wood work is from the late Sam Maloof who said something along the lines of ", as long as I buy wood I have to live long enough to build something". I...
Lift gate is not overkill for me but a 25ft truck is. I may have to bite the bullet and rent a 25ft to get a lift gate. Thanks
confirmed with Uhaul by phone and on their web site, they do not rent trucks in Ontario Canada with hydraulic lift gates. My perfect solution would be to find a box van with lift gate rental ;-)
I have not ruled out the trailer idea, but will need to rent a truck to pull it. Thanks

I am moving 200 km. so float charges alone for a crane rental will be out of the questions. I already have the shipping container so I am married to getting a tilt load truck to move it, 5100 lbs...

All fixed and back to normal. .002 at both 90 deg and 45 deg. It took most of my Sat and probably an appointment with a physiotherapist but it is done. The 50-220M1 has an interesting quip, the...
I have used a scaffold to hold a chain hoist and then place dolly's under but that was a 600 lb item and lot smaller. Perhaps you could try small air bags to get each corner up on shims and then...

Good Point Thomas
Am I correct in assuming that a given load rating for drawers slides is for a pair and not each. In other words, if a drawer slide is rated at 100lbs that means the weight of the drawer and its...
Dave and Myles, thanks for your response.
A followup questions. After cleaning with mineral spirits do you do anything special to remove the mineral spirits residue or just wipe off excess with a...
I have always used Isopropyl alcohol to clean the rollers on my Dewalt planer. In the absence of this product what have you used successful to clean your Dewalt rollers?
