Your right, and I neither of us can figure the issue out, but as long as they keep switching them out without even the cost of shipping it's hard to complain. But of cause I keep good records incase...
Just a small note for anyone on the edge and thinking about why buying an Epilog and more import spending the money on American made machinery is worth it. My story has it's ups and downs. Me and my...
Hey guys,
Hope all is well, been a while while since i've been around (Long Story) anyway, does anyone have any good setting recommendations for cutting 1/8th in black delrin on a 40w epilog...
It's not the size of the shop, but the quality of work that gets done :)
Well they do have a lot of good people that shocked us in the 3d printer world, so I don't rule out what they're claiming "But" what I would worry about the most is the location of that glass tube....
So I just got back from the NY world maker fair and got to check out the Glowforge. So here's the thing, it's basically built like a HP inkjet with lots of plastic, it has a large glass tube in plain...
I always heard running at 100% power is bad for the laser and eats up the tube very quickly. Any truth to that?
Although I would love a Shopbot, if your only using it for basic stuff like signage and braille save yourself a ton of money and get a larger work area with there largest size. I just ordered this,...
I do a bunch of these for customers. I like to use 9 volt battery boxes with a built in switch, so I don't have to worry about house fires (it's also much cheaper). Posted some pics below (The pics...
Thanks guys. Fortunately this one isn't so much about making money it's part of the larger project opening up a state of the art maker space. Josh I went with 75 watts. Now I just need to sell the...
If all else fails try painters tape as a mask, I would suggest the thickest width you can find, I believe home depot or lowes has 3" (so your not there all day.)

Thanks bill i'm so excited :) I engrave mostly electronics (Ipads, phones, etc) some wood projects. But I'm in the middle of opening a maker space in my area and the shiny new machine will be for the...
Hi guys,
I'm going to be receiving my new Epilog Fusion 40 soon.

I've done both aluminum and plastic, The only difference is the plastic needs to be color filled. But both come out very nice
Kieth, very nice work. What type of material are those signs?
I find cutting the contours in 6mm EVA foam the easiest way
Wow that's Amazing
The thing you would want to watch is the rapid change in temp, think of a glass. I don't think leaving it off in the garage is a major problem, but I wouldn't operate it till the temp in the garage...
Glad to see you are ok, must be scary. As far as fire extinguishers are concerned you should definitely get yourself a halotron fire extinguisher, pricey but does no damage and cleans up in one piece...
IMHO it really matters what it is your looking to do and what your level of expertise is. I cut 1/4in and glue the boards together when needed, If you have the skill, just get yourself a descent...
Congrats Dan!
Nice to see an in depth review on them. I looked into boss when I was looking, but couldn't find much positive reassurance of the company and was hesitant to go with a Chinese machine. But hopefully...

Look at the colors you are choosing and there RGB values, you probably need to change them in your corel colors or vice versa to match. Red is not always red, blue is not always blue, etc...
