Mark, I was able to chat with Juan and try one of his planes at WIA in Winston-Salem. Wonderful gentleman, you should definitely try to make it to the event.
About the only thing I really wanted was a shoot plane. Of course, these went pronto. Funny, I pretty much have everything else plane wise that they were offering! Still managed to spend $50.
Marking, or striking knives are a good choice, particularly with the holes since it makes it easier to attach the scales.
