BB ply works for me.
If the barrel is inside the mortise, it can put the hinge under tension.
Been using blue for years and tried green last month. Didn't notice any difference.
This one's 36". I prefer using a miter slot instead of fence. You wont need T-track, slots work too. 2 hours should do it.

I have a design that's easily shop made and works well.
The first one used so many batteries (by turning itself on) that after a while the display was too dim to read.
When the second started turning itself on (and eating batteries), it found itself in...
I'm with Lee. I even talked with John Wixey about the problem. I'd come into the shop in the morning and the Wixey would be on.
Happened often and finally new batteries didn't help.
My first...
I've done it, but unless all 8 ends are EXACTLY 90 degrees your drawers will take on an artistic warp!
I find myself lately using a simple drawer lock in the back.
Don't know if this applies to your jig, but:
A fellow brought his PC 42xx to my shop recently with the same symptoms. His problem was caused by the screw holding the one-piece stops. The screw, when...
I'd remove the blade.
Start the saw to see if the vibration is in the drive wheel.
Then I'd spin the upper wheel and mark the 6 o'clock position. Spin it 3-4 more times to see if it stops in the...
I use a little 3 n 1 oil. I keep my mortiser covered with a plastic bag when not in use, too.
Is there a 'bump' on the tire?
I've had one for over a year (Scheppach) and the first one burned up when sizing a ext door, but it was replaced under warranty. I made a couple of mods, first being an Oshlun blade. Cut 1/4" off of...
I use the plastic containers that 100 DVDs come in.
A local WWr saw this post and he was having the same problem. He just brought it over and here's what we found.
The one allen screw holding the stops was causing the stop flange to move (cam) when...
Buck, that's what it sounds like...
Scribe a line down the end grain of the horizontal piece, 17/32" from the LH edge. (pencil mark is too thick)
The LH edge of the vertical piece must line up with...
Not trying to sell you anything since I have a Woodrat, MLCS template guide and a $20.00 Harbor Freight (with dust collection) and used to have a Leigh Super. The Woodrat will make any profile you...
I've had a Woodrat for many years and use it a lot. The Router Boss is a 'digital' version of the Woodrat and if I were to buy today, it would be the Router Boss. With shop made or purchased jigs,...
You may find this handy. The reason the slot is so long is to give enough reach to check the blade at 45 deg. That's a $5.00 Harbor Freight dial indicator. may cost more by now. Set the fence too.

When I set up a dovetail jig (1/2" fingers), I scribe a mark 1/2" on the left edge of the top (pin/end) board. That's the offset for the side (tail) board. Using this as an alignment mark you don't...
I knew some girls that actually bought them!
To my eye, you are leaving plenty and could get even thinner by raising the bit height.
Remember - Heighten to Tighten.
You can see these use most of the end grain, but work just fine.

I can't tell the exact profile you have, but I've done similar with an ovolo (sp?) bit. Once I made the template it went fast.
May have annealed by now. I'd try heating the pulley; squirt some Liquid Wrench on the shaft; tap the pulley gently, and see if any of that works. Otherwise, it's time for a pulley puller.
BTW,...
Should be good until the next time you change sub bases.
