Wow, I think your boxes are stunning. Nice and also unique!
I would like to see them in person.

Thanks Gordon, I got the curly maple locally here in Hawaii. Lucky I guess.

The 2 woods are curly koa and curly maple.
The scale model is 1/6th scale and was made from balsa and koa veneer. It was my 2nd one as the first looked a little too big.
thanks for looking.

First, I'd like to thank everyone who helped me answer my numerous questions as I started this project. My wife wanted a curio for her Asian doll collection so I looked for plans but didn't see...
Okay now I know that I will be using the design on the right with half lap joints for strength. How should I attach the glass from the back and keep it in place? I'm sure there are different ways....
I would like to try stringing. How many of you use the router or Dremel and how many by hand? Pros and cons? I'm kind of worried about ruining the wood with a powered tool. Why do most use holly for...
Bob, I am not disatisfied with the number of responses I've been getting. I want as many different ideas as possible and apprectiate all that take the time to respond. I'm okay with going with the...
I'm making a framed glass door. Which joint is stronger, if one is? I will be using the Festool Domino for the loose tenons and the door will be 66 " tall.
Thanks,

I am building a corner display case with framed construction with a solid wood framed glass door. I want to know what ideas you may have to mount the door to the cabinet? I'm not sure I should mount...
I am looking for plans to make a corner curio display case. The type with 3 sides with a glass front door. If anyone knows where to find one or has built one and is willing to share their plans and...
Door into the wall?
The hinge type didn't work because I have this molding around the door that it would hit half on and half off and also the hinge would move a little and that didn't look like it would be good in the...
I just bought a new washing machine that sticks out front more than the old one so now when I open my door to go into the house the door hits the front of the washer. I can't move it further in or...
I didn't ry it but I believe it can if you tilt it just a little to the wheel side.
No Alan, it is real easy. I can put the table anywhere I want. For sheet goods it must be really good.

Some of you seen my post when I made a torsion box assembly table but it was so heavy that I couldn’t set it up myself as I needed one that I could fold up and place near a wall in my garage. I had a...
I will be in Spokane at the ending of February. Is there any woodworking places there to visit? Schools that give classes? Good stores? We don't have anything here on the Big Island of Hawaii so I'm...
Hi Phil! I'm the Rob from Hilo that made your separator and I installed my DC directly on top of it with a window in the garbage can to see when it gets full. Still works great. It was on your site...
Todd, It is Watco Danish Oil.

I just completed and delivered this stand today. It is made from Koa ply and solid Koa with a touch of Mango on the bottom for contrast. The small fan is a Japanese touch as the owner is Japanese. I...
Sorry Ben, but I didn't mention it in my original post. I had it on a reply on another woodworking site. My bad. There is a clothes line there where I can still store the table but I wouldn't be...
Thanks Ben, but like I mention in the original post, I cannot mount it on the only open wall I have. It needs to be able to store against the wall, but when in use, more in the middle of the garage....
I did use 1/2" mdf. That's what David Marks and Marc Spagnuolo used.
Sorry but I don't get it.
