Really nice pieces. Excellent finishing job.
I saw your work on Good Morning America this morning. Congrats on the great exposure!

I am going to be making quite a few display tables for a retail store. They have spec’d a reconstituted walnut veneer from Italy, that they are using on the wallsand table tops. There budget won’t...
One of my favorite chairs. Can't wait to see how it comes out. I have a soft spot for Danish chairs.
I did a danish cord seat like the first photo. It came out very nice but I'm sure that I...
Classy as always!
Nice bowl, looks like it was a #10 or #20 instead of #1. No chunky bowl there.
A really nice piece!!
Exceptional!
While you are waiting for better answers. Seal the end grain. In a pinch I use Tightbond glue mixed 50-50 with water, several coats.
Pretty pieces, I love the ring effect of the sap wood. Lucky trimmers.
+1 on the tall one. Great pieces.
It seems OK for the $ if in good shape. You probably won't "out grow" it for a good while. You can do a lot on a lathe with a little. I've been turning almost 3 years and still only own a Harbor...
The wood sales guy from Brazos hardwoods (A.K.A. Baillie outside of TX) brought by a little 4/4 x 6" x 24" board of kiln dried spalted maple. They had brought in some for someone's custom cabinets....

It is a solid. It was the widest one in the bundle.
I use a glue block. It's not that heavy since it's so thin.
I snagged the end cut of a wide board at work. It's only 1" thick but it 27" wide. Might make a platter, I'm still trying to make up my mind on what to do with it. It's Africa Mahogany. Deane
Nice piece! Whether is was a first or twenty-fifth piece. Great shape on the natural slab.
Walnut has never bothered me, but any rosewood will send me to the Doctor for steroid shots. I wouldn't worry about the walnut dust issue too much in hand work. You will pick up the most from...
Outstanding, as usual.
Nice piece! Congratulations!
Very nice design and craftsmanship. Can't help with the scratches issue except to use 600 grit. Again a very beautiful table.
Minwax Tung Oil Finish (4-5 coats over several days). Or Hope's 100% tung oil (I have to order it and Minwax is in hardware stores).
A wall hanging, to break-up all of the rectangular stuff on our walls. I cut 4 key-hole slots in the back so is can be rotated for a different look.
Thanks for the comments! Dennis, I agree with the 3 holes. They were shallow and didn't show up well, I put a drop of stain in them and now they are too dark. I will sand them out lighter and their...
