Replaced the intake manifold gaskets on my granddaughter's 2001 Sierra. Been needing it done for awhile. Had to move all the woodworking tools out of the center of the s'hanger to get the truck...
If the crack extends into the tenon, it is firewood. If the cracking was induced by general warpage such that the exterior can't be easily smoothed with a gouge, consider it firewood.

For me, all sides I can get! Remember the table of the saw is a supporting surface. The minimum then is two. Even with an RAS, I'm thinking 3. Table, fence and clamp(s). YMMV

Just finished with the buffing. Two maple platters and a mystery wood bowl. Small platter and bowl are ~7.5" dia. Large platter about 10.5" dia. Gloss lacquer (management likes the shiny ones)...

When using my orange tools (Husky, Kubota), I use Isotones buds with the electronics turned off. When the electronics are on, particularly for the tractor, they seem to amplify the engine noise....
