Lee and Dan are correct. When I had to replace mine shutoff the plumber said that passing through the block wall was part of the issue. He put some type of plastics covering over the copper.
I have used a speed controller with grinder and router. HF has one but rated only a 8 amps. ~18$
Grizzly has one rated at 20 Amps but is ~60 $.
I use tb iii for all my segmented bowls and vases. Now I have had failure between some segments, BUT discovered that I missed putting glue on those segments.
I usually use Tride and True on bowls, and gloss lacquer on vases. I would suggest trying your R & T on the inside near the bottom and see if you like it. Or on some scraps that you may have cut off...

Knowing nothing about what a cnc can do but a friend offered to cut some wedge templets for me and I was wondering how accurate of a angle they can make.
The templates would be used to cut wedges...
I have used some for turning, works nice and looks good. Some were solid sections from a log, others were wedges in segmented turnings.
I had this (honey locust IMO) in the garage for at least 25 years so decide to make a platter. It is about 12” and ¾”. The gain pattern was not (to me) that visible before turning and I did not...
I have installed horse stall mats for about 20 yrs and find them worth while. They were about 3/4" thick. One side is ribbed and the other side has bubles to provide air space. I got them at local...
Found the youtube video (I think see red highlight below) and explains how it happened. It was so quick that you can even stop to look. Not sure it was the tool, or the edge on the bowl when his...
Count me in on this please, thanks for your time to do this.
Ok I am in also.
This is how I used up some scrap wood to make a vessel. The pictures attempt to show the steps. All rings contain 12 wedges. 5" diameter and 4 " high.
Picture 1 is the finished vessel with end...
Hi, just wondered if anyone tried one of these. Seems like a low use log splitter if it would work. They are powered by drill, assume heavy duty one.
A US High Speed Twist Firewood Drill Bit Wood...
Just an update. Finding most of the motor shops either not selling or out of business I found a generator repair shop that had some that would work. Original were 1/4 x 1/2 and one was only 3/8...
